Larry's New Car

I have wanted to build a hard top car for a while now so 9 weeks prior to the 2009 MPRA Enduro race, I started hacking away at this car. I also wanted to try a few different things to see if it would work. It was a lot of work and long nites. Prior to race day we were able to run it around the block. At least it did go and it did stop. Perfect! time to go racing. On race day we found a few things were not right but no time to adjust so away we went hoping it would last the three hour race.

The cooling system worked very well. It was a cool day but still the air opening to the radiator was all but plugged completely off so we could build a little heat.

For this enduro race we opted to go with a narrow body and NA engine to try and win the under 3.2L class. Dave's car on the left is running in the over 3.2L class.
